What is Mktgeist

Welcome to Mktgeist.com alpha release.

This first release contains a series of screeners and analysis for major European and US markets.  The automated analysis of several European and American markets aims at bringing useful information to the surface with an automated process in order to have more time for analyzing the whole picture and focusing on the general strategy. The screeners are designed for swing trades (long and short).

Since this is a personal website we also post news, articles and information that we find interesting.

Who manages Mktgeist?

Essentially, Mktgeist founders are mainly scientists and engineers with a passion for trading. We are not (fortunately!) trade advisors or professional money managers. Mktgeist is more a scientific experiment than a trading site.

Why did you build Mktgeist?

Essentially because we were not satisfied by the tools available. Sure, there are great charting websites and very good scanners out there, but there is also  too much information, of questionable use. We don't need many setups to have a profitable trading. We need very good setups. And we need to be sure that the algorithms used to find these setups have been carefully backtested. The only way to be sure of the quality of the algorithms was to write them by ourself.

Why some charts on Mktgeist are 2 or 3 days old?

Mktgeist is typically udated three times a week, so you will not find intraday charts and intraday alerts, the focus is (for the moment) on swing trades.

How much does it costs?

All the information on the site is free. If you find it useful you can support us by clicking on some ads.

Where can I find more details on the algorithms and on the data? 

The documentation is rather scarce for the moment. We apologize. It is being written, however. For the moment, if you have a specific question you can write at info@mktgeist.com.
